EngagED Webinars with RITE Education
RITE Education, with the support of Credit Suisse, have run successful 21st century learning intervention called EngagED programme for teachers in selected MCII schools from 2017 until 2020. In 2020, the programme changed its delivery approach by increasing online support and producing videos to allow teachers the liberty to access information on how to use the strategies in their lessons whenever they are able to.
This year, they will be reaching out to more MCII teachers by organising two webinars in February and March to further expose 21st century learning strategies, focusing on Cooperative Learning Structures, Assessment for Learning, and Classroom Management and Positive Environment. The participants will be given access to a wealth of online resources including joining ‘EngagED by RITE Education’ Facebook group as members and the schools will be receiving manuals as well as workbooks. The content is also designed to help the teachers be more creative in conducting online classes to attract students’ interest.
Subsequently, participating teachers will gather quarterly to share their experiences and best practices, facilitated by teacher mentors from an alumni school, SJKT Methodist. We hope, this will strengthen the Professional Learning Community (PLC) and knowledge sharing culture among MCII schools.
